White cbg seeds

White CBG

We took one of the superstars of cannabinoid production (“The White,” an elite THC variety) and converted it to a pure CBG chemotype. Plants grow into stout bushes with large frosty flowers. Beautiful bag appeal makes it an excellent choice for cut flower, with some producers even running it in light deprivation greenhouses. This varieties dense flower production is better suited for drier climates.

• Fast growing with potential for large quantities of A grade flower
• A varied but solid terpene profile
• Our highest testing CBG flower
• Huge colas better suited for drier climates

About this brand

Founded in 2015, we are Oregon’s oldest federally-legal cannabis research and development company, operating in compliance with the 2018 Farm Bill. This allows our company to permanently work with unlimited plant numbers and fully explore the diversity and malleability contained in the cannabis genus. Our primary product is scientific knowledge, but we strive to put our best findings into growers’ hands in the form of world-class, non-GMO, and award winning cannabis seeds for production purposes and improve our work every year.

In 2021 we released the first commercial triploid cannabis seeds. Bigger yields, louder aromas, Certified Organic, Non-GMO, and high in CBD, CBG, and other minor cannabinoids.

Matterhorn CBG In The Field

Difficulty: Easy to farm
Resiliency: High
Compliance: CBG 15%*, THC 0.09%*

Matterhorn CBG is a vigorous hemp strain that grows well in most environments. Originally bred from the industrial hemp strain Carmagnola, Matterhorn CBG genetics are well-proven. The Carmagnola hemp strain has been grown in Europe for over 15 years, producing both CBD and fiber.

With such strong genetics, you can expect your Matterhorn CBG plants to grow both tall and wide. Additionally, with CBG levels at an astounding 15%, your crop will meet the demands of the most savvy customers.

Growing Matterhorn CBG

Cultivators enjoy the ease of growing Matterhorn CBG, and from seed to harvest, this vigorous hemp strain performs well. Not only is this CBG dominant strain easy to grow, but it is hearty enough to handle transplanting from greenhouses to fields.

For seedlings, normal germination time is just 48 hours. With High Grade Hemp Seed’s average germination rate of 95%, you are sure to have a carpet of seedlings in mere days. Even more, you can rest assured that your plants are female, as we boast a feminization rate of 99.98% females.

Matterhorn CBG is a highly predictable hemp strain which is ideal for commercial production. For the best results, you should plant this strain between late May and early June. Once flowering, Matterhorn CBG takes 8 to 9 weeks to reach maturity. Depending on your farm’s geographical location, Matterhorn CBG is generally harvested from mid-September to early October. For most regions in North America, this timing gives farmers plenty of room to harvest crops before the first fall freeze.

Growers report the Matterhorn hemp strain harvests with biomass above 1.5 tons per hectare.

Matterhorn CBG Compliance & THC Levels

At an average of 0.09% THC, Matterhorn CBG has incredibly low THC levels. This THC level is a good deal below the federal legal limit of 0.3%. As such, you can rest assured that Matterhorn CBG is one of our most compliant varietals.

Matterhorn CBG has had two years of field trials and has proven itself to be consistent, stable, and reliable. The strain boasts CBG levels of 15% and maintains amazingly low THC levels of 0.09%. These factors make Matterhorn CBG an excellent choice for hemp farmers looking to diversify their crops in the CBG market.

Matterhorn CBG Flowers

The biggest selling point of Matterhorn CBG is its extremely high CBG levels. Coming in at an outstanding 15% CBG, these flowers are sure to get the attention of many buyers.

The medicinal potential of CBG is garnering serious attention in today’s market. CBG connects with both CB1 and CB2 receptors and it has the potential to provide relief for many conditions. Scientific research is eagerly looking at this exciting new cannabinoid.

Matterhorn CBG flowers work great for CBG extraction and are also highly smokable. The flowers have effervescent tones of citrus — including notes of lemon and lime. The terpene profile also expresses subtle undertones of hops.

The Importance of CBG & Other Cannabinoids

At High Grade Hemp Seed, we pride ourselves on breeding hemp strains that are proven, strong, and diverse. For our team, CBG has been the next logical step in our journey to breed the best cannabinoid hemp strains on the market. In working with strains like Matterhorn CBG, we have been able to improve the availability of CBG products to consumers.

Matterhorn CBG was developed by one of our partners and fellow hemp breeder, Matthias Ghidossi. Founder of the company, Swiss Cannabinoid, Ghidossi has worked for years to cultivate his own terpene and cannabinoid-rich crops.

Through a science-based approach, he surveyed thousands of varietals in search of a high CBG strain. Working with several European geneticists and a Swiss pharmaceutical company on trials, he finally landed on Matterhorn CBG. In 2019, he registered Matterhorn CBG at CPVO Europe.
